About My Sun-catchers

Of all the sea glass I collect, the most rugged and raw more often than not wends its way into a sun-catcher of some form, be that freestanding bottled flowers and plants, soldered plaques, or simple chunky hanging mobiles.

And of all the sea glass I collect it is often the most rugged and raw which intrigues me most. Each piece of seaglass has a history all its own. Once discarded or lost, the broken pieces of what was have spent decades - sometimes centuries - being tossed and smoothed by the waves.

And now, the motions of the tides have brought these pieces to our shores to revive and repurpose and cherish anew.

I hope you can find a sun-catcher that draws you to itself bringing the mystery of its story to heart of your home.

(Other than cleaning, lightly oiling, copper-foiling and drilling the sea glass, I don't alter the pieces in any way from how I found them at the beach).
