About My Driftwood Art

Since moving to Amble By the Sea on the beautiful Northumberland Coastline, 

I have discovered that different days - different tides - yield vastly different treasures. ​

There is some seaglass, but the pickings are small and slim. However, there are days when I find driftwood in abundance. 

I decided to roll with the punches and gather (many, many) armfuls of driftwood and see what I could do with it. As it turns out I can do rather a lot!

I love the possibilities that driftwood has to offer and I'm excited to explore new expressions in my art. I hope in time to create some practical and functional pieces too.
